WHEN IS ENOUGH, ENOUGH? June 26, 2022

I am making my first post in quite a while as I woke up today and remembered I do have a place where I can express myself. A place created to do that very thing!!!

Because our country and its’ discourse have became completely political and even worse, idealogical, it has left no room for free speech or expression of anything antithetical to the movement du jour. From vilifying the police, to the ensuing violence in the summer of 2020 through today, to the villifaction of any and all conservative or moderate voices, to the deluge of racism, wokeism, and transgenderism, it has been a long, silent time. Just watching as a very small percentage of our population, 8%, methodically and intentionally endeavor to dismantle our freedom, our beliefs, well, our country.

Focusing a populace on gender is dehumanizing. We are first and foremost human beings. It is unnatural to determine swaths of social policy based on any one group of people. When you have a person in a position of leadership and power who says “drag queens make everything better.” “there should be a drag queen in every classroom,” if defies comprehension. Seeing five year old children slipping dollar bills into the costume of a drag queen performer, it is mind numbing. Asking little children what gender they think they are when they should be choosing the color of their crayons…my heart is breaking for the things children are exposed to today. Parents unable to have a voice in what their children are being taught, being likened to terrorists, and not being able to control the indoctrinization that is taking place in schools. I am just so grateful not to be raising a child at this time, and my heart goes out to the parents who have to battle for their rights.

THE LAST BIT OF SANITY IN AN INSANE WORLD....

These are the words spoken by a young Englishman lamenting the passing of the late, great, Queen Elizabeth II. I have read all sorts of different commentary about her passing, and some of it is disturbing and irreverent. While many people neither relate to or understand the Monarchy of England, one thing is sure, Queen Elizabeth represented things that are sadly missing and sorely needed in today’s society. Dedication, Selflessness, Consistency, Decorum, just a few of the words that come to mind and which have great meaning and impact in their practice. Human beings have become insufferably self indulgent. I want it and therefore it must be. That is insanity. Let us never forget that we are part of a whole and when the majority is constantly being asked to conform to each individual’s desire…well…it is like trying to pound a square peg into a round whole.

May Queen Elizabeth Rest In Peace, a peace she richly deserves.

Attitude of Gratitude

I come from a family of five children, but it took my mother nine tries to find me, or for me to find her, whichever way you want to look at it…I am the youngest with four older brothers…The one thing I realized very early on was that I was very lucky to be alive…I mean, how many women would have gotten pregnant 9 times looking for the illusive girl??…Well, mine did, and from the time I was 5 years old, I used to thank my mother for having me…I am grateful to be on this earth, breathing, seeing, hearing, feeling…here for this life's  experience thanks to one person's tenacity...
