Whatever your faith and even if you are not a person of faith per se, you have a heart, you have feelings, you have thoughts, you have a conscience (hopefully)…Religion is man made…Faith is something beyond man…a feeling that there is something much greater than our day to day mortality, greater than our individual self…why do people feel empty?…What are those needs that "money can't buy?"….According to the Pew Research Center, there are approximately 7 billion people inhabiting the earth and a rough estimate of 4,200 religions in the world. There are 2.2 billion Christians, 1.6 billion Muslims, 1 billion Hindus, nearly 500 million Buddhists and 14 million Jews. This does not include the other 4,195 religions, that when figured in represent more than half the population of the earth. Clearly this demonstrates something in the human spirit that science cannot explain. There are mysteries, and it is within these mysteries that people of every race find forms of faith from which they derive strength, solace and comfort, awareness of others and the human need to be connected. I have observed that people of faith (not including extremists or exploiters) have a common ability and desire to enhance the world of those around them. You can find humility, which is becoming increasingly harder to find, kindness, and a general willingness to be of service. I am not saying those qualities don't exist outside a faith based life, they certainly do, I am just suggesting that many people who are not coming from the ego often have the commonality of faith.
